Ricky from Puppy-Training-At-Home.com

Ricky contacted me through this blog in January this year and had some questions about Chitika. But as I was in Asia at the time, I suggested that we can also meet at some point.

We eventually met in Penang as I described in my previous post and since Ricky was getting over 800 daily visitors already at that time, I suggested he shared his story here…

1. Why did you decide on SBI?
After graduated from University with an IT degree, I entered the workforce and my first job was in Intel Corporation. At that time, I was reading a book by Robert Kiyosaki – Rich Dad Poor Dad. His book inspired me to build passive income rather than stick to a dead-end J.O.B. (Just over Broke!). Read more

Winter 2010 in South-East Asia

I spent most of the winter of 2010 in Thailand and neighboring countries since I really don’t like cold. ;)

I am writing this post as a journal for myself to remind myself later of where I have been and also to perhaps inspire and motivate all those who look to become financially free and do whatever they want to do.

New Year In Bangkok, Thailand

I arrived in Thailand on the 31st of December (flying with business class of course from Slovenia ;) ) and spent the New Year’s Eve in Bangkok where hordes of people came to see the entertainment show in front of the Central plaza (a big shopping mall).

There was also a short fireworks show but really nothing spectacular. It’s interesting to celebrate New Year in short pants and sleeves and sweat at the same time – while most people in the Northern hemisfere wear thick jackets and gloves and maybe even enjoy some snowy conditions. Read more

DaNae from Smoothie-Handbook.com

DaNae has reached around 800 visitors per day in less than 1 year with SBI and that shows you how much can be done if you put in the effort. How did DaNae do it?

1. Why did you decide for Site Build It?

The story of my decision to use Site Build It (SBI) actually started 6 months before purchasing SBI. Like many people… my husband and I wanted to build an online business that provided an additional income.

Our search brought us to weekly business coaching that cost well over $6,000 for 4 months. We were taught how to build a website. Every week our coach showed us how to improve our website. We set up products, submitted our site to hundreds of directories, and wrote a few articles. Read more

Selling An SBI Site – No Content, Great Domain Name

I am selling an SBI site which was registered on 6th of September 2009 and has about 6 months left before renewal.

I  got a great domain which for some magic reason was not registered at the time (but it was before) and I immediately bought an SBI site.

But later got caught up in work, life and other projects and failed to start the site. Read more

I Just Adopted A Rat. His Name Is Ziko.

A few days ago I watched a BBC documentary about Bart Weetjens – an entrepreneur in Africa who trains rats to sniff out landmines and even tuberculosis.

Rats supposedly have such a fantastic sense of smell that they can detect unexploded landmines and the early development of tuberculosis.

The show mentioned an official website and I checked it out. I really liked the idea and I liked the rats. ;) Read more

For Which Keyword(s) Is Your Article Optimized?

If you ever wondered whether you should optimize your article for “green widget” or for “green widget accessories” because “green widget accessories”  has less competition, you need to know what it actually means to “optimize” an article.

Most people believe that Google can read their mind. ;)

Well, it cannot; and Google doesn’t think that your page is optimized for the same keyword (s) as YOU think it’s being optimized for.

Most people think the first keyword in their META Keywords tag is the keyword that they are optimizing their article for.

And that adding a few keywords as secondary keywords will help them in some way.

So first, follow the link to see for yourself that Google doesn’t read the meta keywords field.

Whatever you write in there doesn’t matter to Google. Read more

Help, My Pagerank Dropped!

If you ever lost a point or two of the famous Pagerank, then check this Q&A:

I’ve experienced a small crisis on my website with Google slashing the PR of site. Until yesterday my homepage had a PR of 4 and most of the other pages had PR 3s and 2s.

Yesterday I tweaked a few things on my homepage and when uploaded through SBI the google PR had been slashed site wide! I’m panicking that maybe I’ve experimented and done too much stuff on my own now, and have done something to piss off the google algorithm.

Now i’m desperately going over all the recent changes I’ve made and trying to work if I can undo it. I was just wondering if you had any advice on this minor catastrophe and if you could offer any other pearls of wisdom on what i’m doing wrong on ________.com.

Thank you for all your advice on your freedomideas.com blog it has been very useful and will continue to be an important resource for me in the future. Read more
