1. Why did you decide on SBI?
I have always been attracted to being my own boss. After becoming interested in websites, I began reading all of the material that I could find about starting a profitable website. While I enjoyed working at the computer, I was not interested in learning all of the programming that I needed to create my own website.
Because of that, I wanted to join a program that did all of the technical stuff for me. At that point, the only program that I could find was $4,000! Yikes! That was much more than I could afford, and I began to feel a bit defeated.

I first bought SBI and got a refund because I was all over the place, I was trying every GRQ scheme out there and wasn’t prepared to put in the work.

I have been building SBI sites since 2001. However, they were mostly support for a consulting business, and not really for making money online.
I got serious about taking what I had learned to the next level about a year ago. I started using my BrainstormIt! credits to find a niche that could generate the traffic I needed to monetize the site and one where the competition was manageable.

There are so many indecisive people out there who have been scammed many times with various GRQ (Get Rich Quick) schemes and it’s natural that they are not sure whether Site Build It is a scam or not.
(Unfortunately, some (insert negative adjective) bloggers have been distorting the real value of SBI by posting their negative reviews and manipulating their rankings in Google for the »site build it review« search query.

I first heard about SBI in 1999 when I bough Ken’s hardcover “Make Your Site Sell” book on how to build a website. I signed up to his newsletter all the way back in 2000 and have been on it since, but only eventually gave in a little over a year ago to sign up 
In the meantime I ran a personal site called mariusbakken.com. It did well but I wanted a more business type approach to building a website. So I finally decided for the SBI solution when I had some time to follow that idea. Read more
