Why Start An Online Business And How It Trumps Offline Business

The financial crisis of 2009 / 2010 has severely affected the financial capabilities of many households. According to Wall Street Journal, half of Americans would not be able to deal with an emergency that would cost them $2000 in the next 30 days.

And many experts suggest that the risks are still enormous when it comes to stock markets and economy in general.

So how do you make yourself financially secure in the years to come?

Why An Online Business Trumps Offline Business

Lots of people have been looking to start an online business now that the Internet is all around us. And common sense tells us that there is no stopping the Internet from getting to every possible device and part of our life. Read more

The Power of Momentum

Have you seen the movie Unstoppable? It’s a movie about a huge train gone wild with no one controlling it.

That train had massive momentum and it was very hard to stop.

It is of course also very hard to move such a big mass into movement from static state.

That’s because when an object is static, it is also affected by static friction – compared to the object in movement which is only affected by kinetic friction.

Why the heck am I talking about physics and friction on a blog about internet marketing? ;)

Because when it comes to productivity, things are almost the same in physics and working from home. Read more

Two Quick Ways Of Finding Websites Interested In Cooperation

I am sure you know how hard it is to find websites / webmasters who are interested in any kind of cooperation – which might include link exchange or doing business in some other way.

If you just Google your main keywords and start contacting websites one by one you’ll often find a very low response rate to your emails.

So you need to find websites that are interested in cooperation and promotion of their own businesses.

Even without reading further you can probably come up with some ideas on how to find websites who are interested in their own promotion – which you can offer for something in return.

Here are two quick tips… Read more

Don’t Be Fooled By Your Mind Again… Get Things Done.

I’ve shared a simple productivity tip a few days ago at the conference in London. It’s called Do It Now.

All you need to do is to put up a sign Do It Now! above your desk or PC and every time you consider postponing your task, the sign will remind you that you should do it now.

You’ll find that if you just deal with everything that comes at you (emails, to do list, …) immediately, you’ll become very productive.

But soon there were more and more ideas shared on Facebook on which books can help you improve your productivity even more.

But my feeling is that it’s just another trick of our mind. Here’s why… Read more

Would You Like To Work With Me On A Big Vacs Related Project?

I’ve decided to take my vacuum cleaner website to the next level. I plan to publish real vacuum reviews on the website and not just some information gathered from around the Web.

That’s why I need a person who will review vacuums the way they should really be reviewed.

I need this person to be reliable, honest, hard working and willing to go the extra mile to achieve outstanding quality and who of course is also looking to earn some extra cash.

I will pay very generously – as I am not in a business of maximizing profit (since I am doing really well) but in a business of delivering maximum quality reviews. Read more

The Power of Passion

Thanks to Henri Junttila for this inspirational guest post on how to find your life’s passion and how to make the best of it!

——————————————————————————-

Tomaz has talked a lot about doing something you’re passionate about and the Site Build It! Action Guide emphasizes this as well. Without passion you will not keep going when you aren’t seeing results in the first 3, 6 or even 12 months.

Building a real business takes a lot of hard work, so it’s essential that you find something you love. If money didn’t exist, what would you do? There are no limits, only those that we impose on ourselves.

For example, you can have multiple passions, why not? I recently discovered that I am extremely passionate about helping people grow both spiritually and financially.

We all have something that we love doing and something that we burn for. Using that and turning it into a business will take you a long way. Read more

How I Bought A Domain For A Third Of Asking Price

I just bought a domain for a third of asking price and since it worked so well, I thought you might want to know what happened.

I was planning a niche website and started to check the best domains related to it on http://whois.domaintools.com.

Best domains are short, catchy and include the main keyword or a synonym.

For example, if you were planning a site which would share lots of tennis tips, you’d want to check if tennistips.com, tennistips.net, tennis-tips.com and similar domains are still available.

I checked about 7 or 8 domains, used synonyms that tried to say the same thing using other keywords when I came across a domain that was for sale:

I followed the link and ended up on a site that specializes in buying and selling domain names. There was a form to complete: Read more

What’s a Good Content Page?

You know that in order to rank well in search engines you need to provide good content on your site and support it with quality incoming links.

But what exactly is »good« content?

People often ask me; how many words should I write? Is 300 words enough? Do I need to add pictures too? How about videos? And so on…

All these questions are based on the wrong type of thinking when it comes to success. That’s because in the back of your mind is this thinking: what is the least amount of work that I need to do to earn money?

Read that sentence a few times and think logically whether this type of thinking will get you successful (in any field).

I don’t think so.

In other words, you’re looking for shortcuts. Well, then success will take a shortcut around you too… Read more

Twitter = Automation = Traffic

I wish to thank Brent from Pattaya Thailand Travel Guide site for allowing me to publish his article on Twitter and how to automate it to get tons of traffic. Brent has first published this article in SBI forums and kindly allowed me to use it on freedomideas.com too.

——————————————————————————————

There are tools to automate most processes on twitter that will take some time to set
them up but these tools will reduce your time on Twitter to several minutes a day.

Twitter is also a great way to make yourself and your web presence more visible to a
broader audience in your niche, helps you find link exchange opportunities, and get to know other interesting people.

Every time you “tweet” (send a message of a 140 characters) on twitter you will get an
average response (a user clicking on a link in your tweet) of about 2% or 2 clicks per
100. These numbers may be slightly different for you. Read more

Want to Start an Online Business and You Worry About…

There can be many worries and doubts when one thinks about starting an online business. The goal of this post is to find out many fears you may have and remove them by sharing our stories.

My friend told me a few days ago that he was delaying his decision to finally start an online business because he felt that the competition is too tough. He had an idea for a niche and typed a few keywords into Google to see who was his main competition.

The top spots were taken by about.com, consumersearch.com and other massive websites. Not only have these website pagerank 6, 7 or 8 and Alexa rating below 10,000, there are also very skilled writers posting their articles.

“How I am going to beat them? Impossible.”

Here are 3 reasons why this fear is empty:
