I, started reading Dr Andy’s SEO newsletter as well, since you mentioned it.

Other than those 3 resources, that’s all you need.

Building a online business is just like building a offline business. No one has ever started a offline business and within 30 days, they had tons of cusomers.

It takes time and patience, something that I am learning more and more about while building my business online.

Good questions, I’ll try to share my experiences with this:

a) If you have time, you can put all of them in one day. 40 pages at once for Google is nothing. It’s more like 10,000 pages that would trigger some alarms. There are some sites with hundreds of thousands of pages indexed like ezinearticles.com which surely gets more than 50 new pages every day.

b) Yes, I build 5 to 10 T2 pages and then maybe 4 to 5 T3 articles for each T2. It’s hard to tell which are ALL T2 pages since I usually test and tweak a little bit and sometimes change a T3 page to T2 or vice versa.

c) Yes, after I have about 40 to 50 pages. If you outsource content, this can be 2 weeks after you start. (If you upload 5 pages per day for example)

d) I would say 100 visitors after 3 to 5 months, 200 visitors maybe 6 to 9 months. Depends whether you got some really good links or you managed to rank high for a certain in demand keyword. (or not..) But if after 1 year you don’t have 200 visitors per day, you did something wrong.

You “should” have around 100 pages of content and 10 to 15 T2 pages. Your site should be around pagerank 3+. That’s around 200 visitors…

Just curious on the following qns after reading this article.

a) How fast do you recommend that we built the first 40-60 pages? I mean if I outsource to coders, that can be pretty fast. Due to fear of search engine penalization, do you think putting 3 articles per week is alright?

b) Normally how do you priortise your pages building? Do you build the Tier 2 pages then tier 3 before moving on another Tier 2 pages then tier 3 ? or you build all tier 3 pages and tie them up all with the Tier 2 later?

c) Do you start your links buildings after the first 40-50 pages? (as in article marketing and submission to major directories? can i assume that this will be about 3 mths from the creation of your website?)

d) Lastly, if assuming one has chose a non-competitive niche, how long can one expected to see a traffic of 100-200 visitors?
