Holidays On Thailand Islands

I’ve been traveling to Koh Samui and other Thailand islands in the last 16 days so that’s why you are no seeing any new posts here.

It’s been a great experience from the holiday perspective and from the online business perspective – or maybe I could say enjoying freedom while doing almost nothing for my websites.

I took my laptop and found some nice places on Koh Samui where there was free wi-fi in the restaurant. So I had my pad thai, checked my emails, updated a few Content 2.0 pages and went swimming again. ;)

The power of internet allows you to earn money while doing minimal maintenance work on your authority content sites. I’ve had my best month so far and I’ve done the least work in this month in the last 3 years of my journey into the internet marketing arena…

Here are a few more pics from my travels…

I hope you also take some time ocassionally from your work and enjoy life. Otherwise you may happen to die with thousands of dollars in your bank account. What a waste… ;)

    Hi Tomaz,

Great to hear that you are enjoying yourself! Best month of your earnings? Wow, care to inspire us?

    Rgds,
    Jerrick

    Hey Jerrick,

Yes, I am actually back in Slovenia right now. Long journey.

    Earned around $13,650 in July…

I agree with you 100%. Life is meant to be enjoyed. We are going over to mainland SE Asia ourselves for 3 months. We are going in December to tour around and do some diving.

Koh Sumui looks like it is up our alley. We are just starting researching – which is half the fun.

Unfortunately, our website income won’t support us on this trip – but we are working on it. It’s getting better each month and we are planning our second site.

Hopefully we will reach your stats soon and we can travel full time – now that’s a goal.

    Enjoy.

    Dianne

    Hi Dianne,

Koh Samui and near islands (Koh Phanghan and Koh Tao) are very famous for great diving places. Especially Koh Tao which is visited mostly by divers…

I’ve actually had the chance to watch tropical fish in just 1m of depth swimming around my legs. ;)

Wow Tomaz, $14k you are amazing. I must work harder then. You mentioned in your previous posts that chitika earnings has dropped for your case, so are you high traffic growth? Perhaps you monetize more sites?

Affiliate marketing (natural search listing) definetely works huh?

    CoolZ :)

  6. Tomaz on August 6th, 2008 11:35 pm

    Hi Jerrick,

Yes, Chitika has dropped but it has now slowly climbed to around 20 cents per click which is quite good. My Adsense is doing better though – better CTR and higher payout although I haven’t changed anything.

It must be Google’s algorithm and the competition between advertisers that did that.

I also sold a lot of my tennis products – almost $1500 more than in the last month. It is tennis season right now. ;)

Wow, your post brought back memories, very fond memories.

My wife and I honeymooned on Koh Samui many many years ago.

    I just loved the island.

You have reminded me that I should go back and check out the differences.

Wow! Your earnings are incredible. I can’t wait until I’m up there with you. My second site is s-l-o-w-l-y building traffic, but on this one I’m going to sell my own products like you did with your tennis site. My ad revenue earnings per click are up too! Have you you enabled the ad review center for you AdSense? I would love to know your thoughts.

  9. Tomaz on August 7th, 2008 9:28 am

    Hi Christy,

Yes, I have enabled ad review in Adsense but don’t have anyone placing targeted ads. So it’s all Google and the advertiser bidding…

    Hi Tomaz,

Just wanted to thank you for your honesty on your post – it’s very motivating! I appreciate that.

Your trip looks amazing and it’s good to hear your’re having a great time. Thanks for being so inspirational!

Make sure if you’re still on Samui to head up north to Koh Tao – much less commercialized, but I’m not sure if they have free wifi yet, but I LOVED it 5 years ago when I was there! :)

  12. Tomaz on August 13th, 2008 5:57 am

    Hey Hank,

Yes, I checked Koh Tao too. And yes, some restaurants have free wifi too.

By the way, having an internet cafe is a nice offline passive income business… That’s what also many Thais have figured out. ;)

  13. Karim on August 13th, 2008 11:03 am

That’s great Tomaz. Are the increased earnings from the tennis site in particular or have you seen an increase on other sites or started any new sites that have increased to this amount?

The pictures look great, I hope to go to Thailand one day, it’s looks beautiful.

  14. Tomaz on August 13th, 2008 12:07 pm

    Hey Karim,

Yes, tennis site has earned some extra, Adsense has gone up – just better earnings although I have almost the same amount of impressions, Chitika has leveled again and one more thing which I’ll show in my next post…

  15. Jack on August 14th, 2008 8:51 am

Congrats on your increased success last month.

Is the $13,650 just from your vacuum and tennis sites? Or does that figure include your other sites earnings as well?

    thanks

  16. Tomaz on August 14th, 2008 10:01 am

    Hi Jack,

My tennis and vacuum site earn 95% of all that.

Good to see you blogging on holiday! Hopefully you went to the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan next to Samui – if not you missed one of the biggest parties in the world…

  18. Tomaz on October 8th, 2008 1:45 pm

    Hey Ben,

Yes, I missed that. ;( But I heard about it and maybe I’ll catch that party on one of my next visits to Thailand…
