Do you still recommend using the Wordtracker tool for keyword research? I find their data too be wildly inconsistent.

I have wondered the same as Doug about going outside of SBI for a short internet marketing site but feel more comfortable staying with a company that has such a great reputation and tech support.

Great article! Confirms that I am definitely on my way!

Somehow I had previously missed that I should be using the keyword in the internal linking. Although I’ve been doing the t2 to home and t3 to t2 and to home, I’ll have to go back and add the keywords in there…especially for my top pages.

Hi Shankari,

Your niche has the right numbers. Check my post about 5 Must Dos from SBI forums to see what numbers I choose for T2 and T3.

It’s ok to use the keyword again for your T2.

Hi Tomaz,

Thank you for the above tips which I did put into practice when I first started off.

Regarding the use of wordtracker, I thought I had chosen the right niche after going through WT, but now am not so sure. The numbers seem to have increased.
My keyword is high blood pressure. Please would you let me know ?
I have also used the same keyword to make another tier 2 page ! Can anything be done about that ?

Thank you for your reply. This will make a BIG difference in newcomers evaluating their niches. It may be beneficial to point out the demand of 8000-20,000 would be a ‘yearly’ value in the WT tool.

You recommend Dr Andy Williams (Niche Blueprints). In his material he promotes Market Samurai. Do you have experience with this tool? It provides ‘daily’ search figures for keywords based on Google data. Would this work for your preliminary research as you were doing with WT (your recommended 3000-8000 total of all niche words), or would you stay with WT and ‘adjust’ as per above for the yearly results?

I appreciate the value you have added to the community-thank you. Would you be interested in doing an interview? Would it be possible to contact you via email to discuss?
