Selling An SBI Site – No Content, Great Domain Name

Selling An SBI Site – No Content, Great Domain Name

Posted by on Mar 15, 2010 in Earn money online

I am selling an SBI site which was registered on 6th of September 2009 and has about 6 months left before renewal.

I  got a great domain which for some magic reason was not registered at the time (but it was before) and I immediately bought an SBI site.

But later got caught up in work, life and other projects and failed to start the site.

I am looking to simplify my online business in 2010 by keeping the sites that do well and getting rid of those that don’t do that well and those where I haven’t started yet.

Hence looking to sell this site to the highest bidder who will take advantage of its potential…

You can find out more about the site and how to contact me in the SBI forum post:

  1. Hi Tomaz,

I found myself creating lots of sites as well. Can you share some thoughts about simplifying your online business?

How many sites would you think is manageable for this kind of product niches? (outsource content _ some link building tasks such as blog commenting, forum postings, links exchanges etc)

  2. Hey Jerrick,

I think that once a site starts to rank well, there isn’t much work to do – except adding an occasional article and approve some C2.

But getting there is a long journey and it takes lots of effort.

I really don’t see much sense in making more sites and earning even more money. What am I going to do with it? 😉

So I’ll try and focus on about 5 websites that do well or have a good potential and get rid of the rest.

  3. Hey Tomaz,

Thanks for your reply. You are really one of the few persons that I know who is never greedy for more money.

I truly admire your maturity….I hope to reach at least 30% to 50% of your monthly income, and learn to take it easier.

Until then, internet marketing is really like a full time job for me now sometimes 😛

  4. Hello Tomaz;

Like Jerrick I also congradulate you on your online success and wish to make a fraction of what I am sure you make online with your multiple successful sites including your vacuum cleaner and sewing machine site which brings up a question I have been meaning to ask you.

I can certainly see why your vacuum site does well for it sure has a lot of content and links to both the Homepage as well as the tier 2 pages including great internal linking. However I can not understand how your sewing site continues to improve and do better and better as I have checked the links to your tier 2 pages and there does not seem to be many at all. So I guess I am asking you how do you do so well with that site when you do not have much for links? For as we all know links help our sites rank higher in the search engines.

Also I always like to learn from those who are successful (being yourself and a fellow SBI’er) I am wondering how you get your sites to rank for the homepage all of the time and not your tier 2 page? For example if you punch in any of the following terms being: Janome Sewing Machines, Viking Sewing Machines, dyson vacuum cleaners, Oreck vacuum cleaners, Bissell vacuum cleaners etc etc your homepage almost always ranks for the term and not your tier 2 page. I am wondering how you do this?

Like every other SBI’er else I sure do appreciate you being so open about your continued success and helping us out who are struggling to make money online.

I look forward to hearing from you.

P.S- I would love to buy your site for sale from you if I could just get my other sites doing better and making more money. Tell me does the sale of your site come with any consulting at all from yourself? What is the current bid for it and when is the cut off day to bid for your site?

  5. Hey Shane,

If you’re an SBI-er, than all of my “secrets” (which are also SBI secrets, except that they get lost in the gazzilion amount of info in the AG) are in the forum post 5 Must Dos for a High Traffic Site.

I am quite sure that that’s why my homepage ranks well… (not 100% sure though since I don’t know Google algorithm)

As for the sewing site, the reason why it ranks well despite slightly lower amount of links is simply lack of competition – lack of optimization from other sites.

By the way, the traffic has reached a certain level and is staying there for the last 3 months.

I also sold the site in question already. I don’t offer any special consulting but I answer most of the questions anyway from anyone. 😉

Besides my two main posts in the SBI forums and a few posts on this blog there really isn’t much more that you need to know. You just need to do it over and over again…
